Dr. H. Kumar Kaul (born in 1932, Srinagar, Kashmir), a Ph. D. from Punjabi University, Patiala, is the Principal of M.J.D. Degree College for WOmen, Tapa (Punjab). He secured his M.A. Degree in English Literature and B.Ed. Degree from Kashmir University. He also took a Dilpoma in Journalism from Delhi University.
Before joining the M.J.D. Degree College for Women, he had been the Principal of the S.D. College, Barnala. Prior to this, Dr. Kaul had been the Head of the Department of English in D.A.V. College, Abohar.
Dr. Kaul is an expert in Yoga and has published 13 books on Yoga besides 220 research papers on the subject.
Due to his extraordinary contribution in the field of Yoga, the title of Yogacharya was conferred upon him in the World Yoga Conference (1986), Yoga Ratna in 1987 and the title of Yoga Shiromani was conferred upon him by the Mission International, Faridabad. In 1990, he was selected Senior Vice President of the Indian Council for Research in Yoga and a member of the Governing Council of the World Yoga Parishad.
